On October 31, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Chinese Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui on the sidelines of the Second International Conference on Eurasian Security in Minsk.

The parties praised the progressing political dialogue and practical cooperation between Russia and China, given the heightened turbulence of the world system. They underscored the importance of a prompt and comprehensive implementation of the results of the meeting between the two countries’ leaders at the recent BRICS summit in Kazan to further increase the comprehensive bilateral partnership.

They exchanged opinions on a new security architecture in Eurasia and prospects for settling the Ukraine crisis.

The conversation proceeded in the traditionally trustful and constructive spirit typical of the Russian-Chinese strategic interaction.
